Our Story
"To give is to grow" - we are focused on the joy native flowers bring to people, birds, butterflies and bees, the joy goes beyond people. By producing native plant magic, it also encourages more people to plant natives back into our landscape.
The journey began 5 years ago, removing invasive radiator pines, thistles and other weeds from the property allowing the soil to recover and regenerate naturally, before planting the varieties of waratahs and banksias.
It is so exciting to see 3 new native bird species enter the farm; native orchards are popping up along with the native yellow 5-star flowers.
We have 6 different Waratah varieties, and 6 different Banksia varieties. The Waratah colours include reds, pinks, white and yellow, and will be produced in October through to early November. The Banksia’s produce during May and we also dry during the winter months.
Waratah’s
The waratah lived in the languages and stories of the First Peoples of the southeast Australia. Its vivid bloom—glowing like a heart in the bush—a sign of beauty, strength, and the pulse of country itself. In some stories it marks devotion, in others resilience after loss. The English name came later, but the spirit of the waratah remains woven into country, culture, and the heart light of the Australian bush.

Banksia’s
The First Nations people gathered the banksia nectar, as sweet gift from country and its cones carried fire. Each flower—spiked, glowing, ancient—holds echoes of old knowledge, seasons turning, and the quiet generosity of the land. The name “Banksia” is name after the European botanist Sir Joseph Banks.
Banksia spinulosa - Giant Candles produces tall golden cylindrical flower spikes, fine feather dense green foliage and a bold architectural form.
Banksia robur forms dense green‑blue serrated leaves and stout cylindrical green‑to‑bronze flower cones, creating a bold, textural and striking shrub.

Spinulosa Black Magic produces large light yellow‑orange flower spikes glowing warmly, contrasted by striking black stamens that create bold texture against fine, dark green foliage.

Banksia Red Swamp features vivid lime green when young to fully developed crimson cylindrical flower spikes, bold serrated foliage and a resilient structure, creating a striking, sculptural native bloom.
